Sleep disturbances caused by frequent trips to the bathroom are more common in the elderly
As we grow older our capacity to hold urine in the body diminishes, thus requiring more trips to the bathroom. This can often happen during the night, forcing the sleeper to waken. For those late in life, it is often difficult to fall back to sleep.
